Client: The Chicken Dance Trail
Project: Website Design
The Chicken Dance Trail attracts birdwatchers to the south-central region of Nebraska, with birdwatching as a focus, but also promotes local bed & breakfasts and restaurants as places to stop along the birding trails. The site features database-driven Google maps of each trail system and data-driven list of birds found in the region with photos of many of those birds. The photos are handled in a unique way to keep page-size down and loading speed up. This is a custom coded, fully responsive, mobile-friendly design.
The following custom PHP applications were developed:
- Bird database with photos, managed through a client login area
- Directory of lodging and restaurants
- Monthly rotating bird of the month feature
